"Possessed by the Night" (1994) plays out like an EC horror comic, with Sandahl Bergman and Shannon Tweed spending much of the running time naked. When stalled novelist Ted Prior ("Deadly Prey") goes to L.A.’s Chinatown searching for inspiration, he returns home with a hideous sideshow specimen in a jar. It’s not long before the thing in the formaldehyde exerts its evil influence on the people in his house, including wife Sandahl Bergman ("Conan the Barbarian") and secretary, Shannon Tweed ("Night Eyes 2"). Everybody lusts after your body or your blood. Throw in mobster Henry Silva ("The Manchurian Candidate") and his enforcer, Chad McQueen ("The Karate Kid") and the violence builds to a chaotic level. Guest stars include Universal 1940s horror icon Turhan Bey ("The Mummy’s Tomb", "The Mad Ghoul"), Frank Sivero ("Goodfellas"), Peter Spellos ("Dinosaur Island"), and a young Rocky DeMarco in her first role.
